Our rescue has taken in Jake and his 'brother', Zeke. I have asked for a description of each cat from the owners, and feel that this family has described them way better tan I ever could. Therefore, I am just going to repost what she said about them: Attached are pictures of Jake & Zeke, who have been members of our family for the past 8 years. Both cats were rescued as kittens from Parkway Vet in Plymouth. They have been an integral part of our family and we have enjoyed them immensely. Both of course have their own distinct personalities. Both cats enjoy being picked up and loved on. They have never scratched, bitten or been aggressive. They were brought up in a home with a dog but the dog passed over the rainbow bridge 3 years ago, so they pretty much have had the run of the house. These cats have been neutered and are up for their shots soon. They are both healthy and I will provide all records if needed from the vet. Jake (the gray one) loves to be around people. Zeke (the Ragdoll) is a fur baby. He is somewhat timid until he gets to know you then he will be a permanent lap fixture whenever you attempt to sit down. Zeke goes to a groomer and he loves his bath. I haven't bathed him personally, it's easier to let him have some grooming time. They both love attention and purr loudly to let you know. These cats have their front claws but have never destroyed anything. They have remained in the house for extended days at a time but they also enjoy going outside. Our vet told me when they were small that if they went to the door and showed interest, to let them out. They spend time outside during the day, but always come in right after supper. (some days we play 'door man') They have never stayed out past dark. Both cats are good at coming when they are called. Whether you leave them in or let them go out, will be up to you. They wear a collar with an ID tag, should anything happen. Unfortunately keeping the cats is not in the cards for me. My 2 year old grandson is allergic and spends a lot of time with me. Having the cats has been a deterrent. We have tried keeping them in a separate room when he is over but because they have the run of the house this is not an ideal situation and he still suffers. I am not willing to just let them go to a shelter to be harmed in any way. I would like to find them a good home (if someone is willing to take the two). Adoption fee for both is $100. If interested in either of these boys, please fill out an adoption application at www.angelsforanimalsmichigan.com. If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. (Less)
