Animal ID: 14-10-11-00410Chloe (female)

Ragdoll    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Chloe is a purebred Ragdoll with beautiful Lynx markings who needs a new home with a calmer environment. She is doing OK in our family of 4, but gets a bit stressed with our kids sometimes, especially our 5 year old boy and when our young kids have friends over. We feel it best for her to have a calmer home, ideally with just 1 or 2 adults, but older children who are calm would probably be OK. The main struggle is just with rambunctious little boys with too much energy. She is very sweet and affectionate, mainly with one person that she tends to bond to. She loves to be pet and purrs loudly, will climb up on that person's lap, and will ... (Read More)follow them around asking for attention. In her most affectionate times she likes to be held. She is also a riot to play with...the laser light gets everyone giggling at her antics. She will be a very special kitty in a calmer environment, though she does need some transition time. It took her about 1 week to begin feeling comfortable with us. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-08-00812Meiko (male)

Ragdoll    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Cats, Not Good w/ Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Meiko is a three year old beautiful purebred Ragdoll male. He was the only kitten in the litter, so he never socialized with other kittens, cats, dogs and is pretty much a one person cat. He does like people and loves to sit and watch kids/adults playing or working from a distance and will become curious and investigate. All four feet have been declawed and he weighs in at about 16 lbs. He does not like to be held or brushed but loves to cuddle in close, purring loudly while suckling his paw. He has many dog traits and always wants to be where we are, brings us toys to throw, and comes running to the door when we come home. He has a very ... (Read More)loving nature but his mood can change easily. He can be cuddly and lovable one moment, quirky and fun the next, then standoffish. Loves to play with his toys and has his own bowl of them to choose from. He hates to be alone and it causes extreme anxiety, which is one of the reasons why we are looking for a new forever home. We travel quite extensively and he cannot deal with being alone. We tried introducing another cat (female) which made things even worse. Meiko has a wonderful, fun personality when he's happy and not scared. This is very difficlut for us to even think about doing, but we want him to find a home where he will be happy all the time. Meiko has all of his shots and had a recent vet visit to check for other health issues. He has a clean bill of health. (Less)
