Rescue Me ID: 15-08-22-00615Bob (male)

Ragdoll    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Female Cats Only, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

listed with #15-08-22-00610 Molly and Bob are two, 'middle-aged,' purebred ragdolls looking for a home either together or apart. They're mostly neutral to each other's presence so it will work either way. Molly and Bob are the kitty children of my 80 year old mother who is now heading to a senior living facility as she is no longer able to care for herself in her own home. Make no mistake - they have been loved to pieces and have been cared for as my mother cared for her human kidlets. (she did an excellent job!) Molly is 9 years old and Bob is 10 years old. Bob is a rather funny name for a cat and there's an even funnier story behind ... (Read More)that name. My father, Bob, decided he just looked like a Bob so he bestowed his own name on him. I used to tease my father and say he should have named him Mini-me. My father has since passed but he has lived on in his furry legacy. Both Bob and Molly are simple cats with simple needs. They have their kibble and their litter boxes. They don't like kitty treats. They don't like people food. They don't like canned food. They just like the basics. They don't go potty outside of their boxes and Bob has never sprayed before. Their human mom makes sure their boxes are cleaned every day so that may be part of it. Why go somewhere else when the box is fresh? Molly is just as refined and royal as her beautiful eyes and luxurious hair would have you believe. She is not one to make a bold statement. She much prefers to daintily step up and give you a soft little pat on your leg to let you know she's there. Bob is one of the guys. He likes to be in the thick of things. While he is a man of few words, he likes to assume his position alongside you on the couch. After all, that's where all the action is. Both Bob and Molly enjoy a good combing and will cooperate just about 95% of the time. The other 5%? They would just rather be doing something else. Hey, no one is perfect. Both kitties are in excellent health. They have lived in a 6th floor apartment their entire lives. In fact, neither kitty's toes have ever touched the ground outside. Being indoors has ensured they will live a long, healthy life. Bob has one little, normal ragdoll quirk. His eye tears up a little. It's been checked by a vet and other than the fact that he always looks like he's getting emotional over things, he's not bothered by it. Since the kitties have lived indoors their entire lives it was determined they would be healthier without vaccination. Both cats should continue to live indoors as they would not know what to do in the outdoors and could become easily lost. With that in mind, it would be best to check with your own vet regarding whether or not they should be brought up to date on vaccines. Well, there you have it. Two great cats. Loved dearly. Ready for love for the rest of their lives. (Less)
