     It was with get sorrow I had to re home my beautiful Catsby, the Ragdoll. He has been with his new home about a month now. I had several requests and at first hesitated with Faye, his new mama, mostly because she was three hours away. But we talked on the phone, her husband was crazy about cats as well. They had two other cats, but really wanted a rag doll. I knew he did ok with other cats and he is very gentle. It just seemed right. So we met half way, about one and a half hours for each of us. One reason I chose Faye was I could tell she knew how to introduce a new cat to her home and to the other pets. This has proven true, they have bonded well. I miss him, but I know he is happy and with people who adore cats in general and adore Catsby Thank you, Rescue Me and Faye!

     I've always wanted a large, fluffy cat, but I also refused to go to a breeder and none of the cats at the local animal shelter spoke to me. Rescue Me allowed me to find the perfect cat for me while also helping a kitty in need of a home. The second I saw her picture, I knew I had found the cat for me! Nala immediately fit right into our home and it's hard to believe we went so long without her in our lives. She is so sweet and loves to snuggle. She's adjusted so well it's like she's always owned the place! I've kept in contact with her original family to ease both their and her transitions, and have since recommended Rescue Me to anyone I know who's looking to add a pet to their family!

     I had the posting on for Aurora about a week, when I received a message from J.Davis expressing his interest in her. We talked quite a few times on the phone, and I immediately felt comfortable with him. He asked me to keep her for six to eight weeks, because he had already planned a two week vacation and did not want to adopt her, and then leave her alone for that time. That proved to be a challenging time for me, since I needed to move also; but everything worked out, and Aurora has now been in her new home for two weeks. I have kept in touch with her adoptive 'Dad', and I am amazed and so extremely pleased at the level of care, attention and love that Aurora is getting! Mr. Davis is the absolute perfect person, I could not have picked a better adopter! Thank you, Rescue Me!

Simba was the absolute greatest, but I found out very quickly (not having a cat before) that I was very allergic to him. He was the funniest, sometimes craziest animal I had. It was just a short time, but I am grateful for the time I did have with him. He was adopted by a fantastic woman who has a similar cat. I thought that would be great for Simba.      I was apprehensive about finding a home for my mom's two cats when she had to move to a care facility. Prissy was a beautiful 13 year old Ragdoll with papers. Her life long companion was JJ a 16+ year old Tabby. Finding a home for them together was the goal. The first month I got several inquiries all of which only wanted Prissy. I had just about given up and had accepted that I was going to have to adopt out Prissy and take JJ to a shelter. Then! I got an email from a sweet lady who said she couldn't bear the thought of separating the two. She would take both in her home! I was thrilled! Now Prissy and JJ are happily comfortable in a new home together. Thank you Rescue Me!

     We adopted two Ragdoll males in 2009. They had been displaced by the North Dakota/Minnesota floods, and their first placement with family members failed because of a child's allergies. We've since lost both, one within a year of adoption due to a congenital health issue, and the other just over a month ago. He was my very special cat, my cuddler who had claimed me as his person. Losing him was indescribably awful, and also likely due to a congenital health issue. I turned to an assortment of resources to try to find another rescue Ragdoll. There's just something about the breed that makes it my favorite. I say this with four other cats in the household that are all rescues: two domestic Shorthairs, and two domestic longhairs. They are all loved and special in their own way. But Ragdolls? Another Ragdoll owner will know exactly what I'm talking about. They are in a class of their own. We were looking for only one Ragdoll, but these sisters were definitely a pair. Again, they needed a new home due to a child's allergies, but this time Rescue Me allowed them to stay in their home rather than go to a shelter while waiting for adoption. The adoption went smoothly, and we are enjoying watching them settle in to their new home. Rescue Me provides a very important service for very special cats and their owners. Kudos!

     I am truly amazed! Within two days of Ernie's posting on Rescue Me, we started getting calls. Now two weeks later (and with an intentional five day delay) he is adopted!! He has a home with another Ragdoll named Harley and a loving family who drove two hours, then spent three hours to assess the interaction between Ernie and Harvey before taking Ernie home with them. Truly a delight! The Simon Fund will be back!!

     Breggy was adopted within a week of my posting and I am so excited that my eight year old, purebred Ragdoll has gone to a loving home.      I posted Bear on Rescue Me even though he was the most beautiful rag-doll I had ever seen. I wanted a rag-doll kitten/cat since my last one passed. He was a love and a 'cuddle cat'. This was what I thought Bear was when I got him. However, he was not, which is why I posted him after keeping him long enough to determine that he never would be. I had four responses, only two of which did I feel would be a good place for him. It was very important to me that anyone who wanted Bear understood exactly what his personality was. I carefully explained his temperament which was a high degree of independence. One of the two people who I felt would provide Bear a good home, drove two hours to see him. After spending time with the woman and seeing how Bear interacted with her, I knew this was the correct place for him. I am so grateful that there is an organization like Rescue Me that provides a venue for cats and other animals to be re-adopted. If I hear of anyone who is looking for a pet - cat, dog, bunny rabbit, what have you, I always recommend this organization.

We had such a great experience that when we realized we needed to find a home for our daughter's cat, we knew exactly where to go!      When the time was right for our family, I began looking to adopt a Ragdoll. I have experience with the breed; we have a rescued a Ragdoll at our vet hospital and we are fortunate to have many as patients, so I knew they were right for our family. However, rescuing versus purchasing was the only option for us. I went on Rescue Me, put in what I was looking for, and was promptly notified when a match became available.      I had barely filled in the Rescue Me form when Boo's new mom responded to our post. He is going to a wonderful home and will have a buddy which I think will be really good for him. We are sad at having to re-home him, but when family members cannot visit for any length of time because of allergies, it just had to happen. In the process, we have gained some new friends and we will be visiting Boo from time to time. They will be sending us photos to keep us updated as to our precious boy. We are very happy with your website and will be sharing it with our local vet for their information.

     We got a call on Lily from her post on Rescue Me and the new owner wanted to see her and brought a crate. She was going to try to take Mollie, a black cat, as a two part deal, but Mollie just is not able to fit into more than a single cat household. So, she looked at Doc, and I think they fell in love with each other. Doc requires special attention. She wanted Doc also, despite his problems and need for TLC. There seemed to be some confusion with some people that these cats still had physical problems, Lily with her ears, and Doc with his eyes, but these beauties have had no problems with their respective ailments since we got them, and are in fine shape. At any rate, Lily crawled into the carrier as soon as we opened the crate, and settled down for a few minutes. The new owner played with her for a while, and after a little while everyone was loaded up in the car with a scratcher, circulating water bowl, two large jars of their dry food, several cans of canned food, several beds, one elevated, they went on their way. Since she had only one crate, I gave her one of mine to use, feeling if one or the other didn't work out, I would get the crate back. And if they did work out and found a new forever home, she would need the extra crate anyway, so it was a win/win for me and her. I hear Lily has gone into hiding and Doc is fussy, but she is confident they will work out. If not, it isn't that far a drive to get one or both and bring them home. The agreement was to return either or both to us if they don't work out. Happy they got to go together, as they were adopted from the same breeder who couldn't sell them as kittens since they were a year old, albeit a year apart, but they were familiar with each other and got along pretty well, no fighting, etc. And they played chase the gate well together.

     I am so thankful to have learned about this website Rescue Me. I was posting far and wide all over my Facebook, and having friends share with their friends, etc. Wasn't having much luck until I posted my kitties here. Almost immediately, I started receiving responses from people interested in my 'girls' and wanting to know more about them. Then I received a message from Jim, who had a story similar to mine. He also had two sister kitties that he had adopted, and they were all together for eight years before his girls passed away. Both, within two months of each other. His girls were actually five or six years old when he got them, so add another eight years to that and they lived to about 14 years old. Can't imagine what a heartbreak he must have endured with their passing. Well, when he saw my post with my 'girls' story of needing a new home, he wrote me right away. His girls even had similar personality traits to those of my kitties. We messaged back and forth for a little bit, and he and his girlfriend, Kristine, were so gracious to make themselves available for whatever was convenient for me. Yesterday, I packed up the girls in their carriers, and we took a road trip. So much about Jim and Kristine was so 'right' feeling from the very beginning. I could tell that they had developed an attachment to my Baby and Bitsy, and were wanting to give them a loving and forever home. I feel so blessed to have crossed paths with them, and probably never would have any other way other than through the use and benefits of this wonderful website. What started out as a sad, heavy heart for me ended up as a grateful, glad, piece of mind secure feeling that my girls were in such a perfect place. Yes, I miss them a lot already, but have already received the first update from Kristine and was told that I would be welcome to visit in the future if I should ever find myself down around their neck of the woods! And thank you Jeff Gold, for creating such a wonderful service such as Rescue Me, and making it available to all of to be able to save lives. Seriously, it doesn't get much better than this!

     I was desperate to find a forever home for my beautiful Nana Kitty. I didn't want to put her through the stress of moving across country and I couldn't find any rescues or no-kill shelters that had any openings. Scouring the internet I came across Rescue Me, posted her picture, and prayed. The next day I received an email from a lady who was very interested. We talked on the phone and she drove an hour and a half to come see my kitty. I knew it would be alright when Nana was eager to smell this woman. She usually runs and hides. Thank you Rescue Me! You were instrumental in helping Nana have a great rest of her life!

     I had a very positive and successful experience with Rescue Me! I posted a six year old Ragdoll cat named Moon for his owner who developed serious health problems and had to give him up. I told her I would find a new home for him. As soon as I posted, I was contacted by a couple of Ragdoll cat rescue groups in my state who must monitor the listings. They offered support and help. I had seven real inquiries and was able to select a well-qualified person to adopt Moon. Even transport was easy. The cat and his new home were more than 500 miles apart, but the new owner worked for an airline and used those benefits to fly and pick him up. How lucky was that! I found the Rescue Me website fairly easy to work on. When I did have a problem editing my posting, the help line was quick to answer my call and fix the situation. I recommend it to anyone seeking to place a cat in a new home rather than take it to a shelter. Just be patient and wait for the right person to come along.

     My husband and I decided to adopt a kitten after losing our beloved 18 year old Heidi. We wanted to adopt a rescue kitten and wanted a Ragdoll if possible. After searching several sites I found Rescue Me! I continued going back to the site looking for our kitten, not expecting to find a Ragdoll but one day I saw a posting of four beautiful babies. The foster mother picked out the one she felt fit our requirements. We have had Buddy for a week now. He is a joy, and wonderful addition to our family.      I had a beautiful Ragdoll cat come to our house pregnant and hungry. We could not find the owner so I kept her until she gave birth. I was able to find homes for the kittens, and needed a forever home for this lovely cat I called Boomer. I am moving for work to another town and could not take her with me. I posted her story and photo on Rescue Me's Ragdoll Rescue, and she found her forever home in about 16 hours. Wonderful site to use for adoption and posting those that need a home.      Abbey has gone out on a trial basis to a family that has a 9-year old son with head trauma. She will be his pet therapy as long as he's not allergic to her. She has been in their home for about one hour now and she has not left his side. I hope this is her new home!

     When my allergist told me I needed to find a new home for my two year old Ragdoll Jasmine, I ignored him. Two years and four bouts of bronchitis later, I admitted he might be right. I tried friends and family but no one could take her. Rescue Me! put me in touch with some great people who were interested in adoption. After communicating with a few people and matching Jasmine's personality to a new parent, I was able to find her a new home. I feel confident that she will be loved and I couldn't have made the connection without Rescue Me!, and I am so thankful that I found this organization to help me feel better about the hard choice to give her up.

     I am so thankful for Rescue Me!! I was very nervous about rehoming my lovely cat and found it hard to find a good home through various other websites and postings at local vet hospitals. After one day of posting on Rescue Me!, I received multiple inquiries. It was a luxury to email with many people who would have all made great new parents for my cat, especially after bad experiences for over six months with other efforts. I found a fantastic new family for my cat thanks to Rescue Me!, and it took only a few days. I'd highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a new furry friend, or anyone looking to rehome a pet.

     Thank you Rescue Me. I adopted Cass and Abbigail. These two babies came at a much needed time. I had a void in my heart that only a Ragdoll would fill. These babies lost their mom a few days before I got them, Abby was right at home after half a day. Cass took a few days, now he's happy and not hiding. They both are so very loving, my heart's content, and I am glad you alerted me they needed me, too. Cass has really taken to our five year old Weimaraner, he loves that dog. Two Ragdolls now have a good, happy, permanent home. Thank you. I pray all your babies find a good home.

     We found a home for Winston within a week of posting on Rescue Me!, after interviewing several people. We had emails right after we posted. Winston is very happy in his new home. He was happy with us but we knew he would be really happy away from his little doggie friends here in our home.      Thanks to Rescue Me!, I successfully found a wonderful family for my ragdoll Bentley, who lost their 17 1/2 year old ragdoll last year.
